Digitisation of Electoral Rolls & Preparation of EPICs
COMTECH is the first local company to digitise Electoral Rolls by updating 11 lakh records in Urdu language of the Election Department and preparing EPICs (Electors Photo Identity Cards) for 11 lakh voters in a time-bound manner in Jammu & Kashmir.
Computerisation of Municipal Electoral
Municipal Committees of Kashmir Division spanning 9 districts were allotted to us for preparation of Municipal Electoral Roll from Assembly Electoral Roll 2014, besides Addition, Deletion and Modification of Electors and digital printing of Municipal Electoral Rolls using Digital Laser Printing.
Computerisation of Panchayat Electoral
Panchayat Halqa's of Districts Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Leh and Kargil were allotted to COMTECH for preparation of Panchayats Electoral Rolls from Assembly Electoral Roll 2009. The project comprised 8,000 Halqas, 46 Blocks, 5 Districts with a total population / electors of around 10,00,000, with 23 sets printed using Digital Laser Printing.
Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY)
COMTECH in collaboration with National Insurance Company issued 50 thousand Smart Cards for districts Srinagar and Jammu. The project was monitored by the J&K State Health Department, ensuring health coverage for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.
Aadhaar & National Population Register (NPR)
COMTECH successfully executed Aadhaar & National Population Register (NPR) in 4 States — J&K, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh & Rajasthan. Under this project, 50 lakh residents were enrolled across the four states, strengthening India's digital identity infrastructure.
Socio Economic & Caste Census – 2011
The largest IT project in J&K — information was collected via Tablet PCs for 1 crore population spread across 18 districts, 100 charges and 20,000 enumeration blocks. COMTECH deployed 4,000 data entry operators, 100 tehsil coordinators and 18 district coordinators. The enumeration was completed in a time-bound 90 days, earning appreciation from the Ministry of Rural Development of India.
Public Distribution System (PDS)
COMTECH digitised 6 lakh ration cards across 3 districts of Kashmir Division, 3 districts of Jammu Division, and 1 district of Ladakh Division — modernising food security record management for the state's most vulnerable populations.
Setting Up Aadhaar Permanent Enrolment Centres (PECs)
COMTECH in collaboration with ECIL established permanent enrolment centres in Jammu Division and 4 districts of Kashmir Division. Each centre was staffed with 1 supervisor and 1 operator with an Aadhaar Kit. A total of 117 PECs were established, employing 234 personnel.
Computerisation of District & Taluka Courts
An initiative of the Supreme Court of India — the eCourt Project — where training of the entire judiciary was conducted at District and Tehsil levels, including supply of laptops spread across 76 locations of Jammu & Kashmir, bringing the judicial system into the digital era.
